Versatility is a vital key to survival.
The ability to be versatile has proved to be very profitable for Columbia 300’s Chris Barnes.
Barnes captured the title of “Mr. Versatility” when he dominated the Lumber Liquidators Lumber Leader’s Competition, which concluded on Sept. 2 at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan.
With an arsenal of Columbia 300 bowling balls, the Double Oak, Texas resident averaged 221.93 over 103 qualifying games. Barnes finished 167 pins ahead of second place to secure a winner-take all $10,000 pot.
“This win just further proves that Barnes is the most versatile bowler on tour,” said Columbia 300 Brand Manager Chad Murphy. “He is such an amazing talent and has represented Columbia 300 well again by proving that he can compete at the highest level across a wide variety of patterns.”
Barnes said he used just about every Columbia 300 ball in his bag over the course of the seven tournaments.
“I used the Full Swing, Power Swing, Freeze, and Bedlam. Every ball in my bag was useful at one point or another while competing across the seven different lane patterns,” he said. “Versatility is the true strength of the Columbia 300 line. There is something for every lane condition out there.”
“It’s nice that our products are such a great fit for his game,” Murphy said. “When we designed this year’s product line we did so with the intention that consumers who choose Columbia 300 could find complimentary products to compete with. This shows that we are on the right track.”
