COLUMBIA 300 ADDS HYBRID COVERSTOCK FOR NEW MASS ERUPTION

Columbia 300 has had great success with its Mid-Performance Eruption line, and the newest introduction, the Mass Eruption, is no exception.
The first ball in the Eruption series was celebrated for being clean through the front part of the lane and providing good backend reaction. The follow-up Violent Eruption gave more of the same, with an emphasis on more backend reaction. According to Brand Manager Bugsy Kelly, Columbia 300 is providing bowlers what they need with the Eruption series.
“Bowlers have been asking for a Hybrid coverstock version of the Eruption, with a little more hook in oil,” said Kelly. “With the Mass Eruption, we’ve provided that. Now we have a dull-finished Eruption that will work best on medium oil conditions.”
The Eruption uses the popular Resurgence core, one of the best performance cores Columbia 300 has developed. The low RG, high Differential core is popular because of its versatility in the hands of a variety of bowling styles.
The Hybrid coverstock is what makes the difference for the Mass Eruption.
“We started with the base coverstock from the Violent Eruption, and took pearl out of one of the two colors to make it a Hybrid,” explained Kelly. “We then added a 4000 grit Abralon® finish to give the ball more hook in oil and greater performance down lane.”
