COLUMBIA 300 TO SPONSOR IRISH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2012

The 24th Edition of the Irish Open Tenpin Bowling Championships will take place in Leisureplex Stillorgan, Dublin from the 19th – 22nd of January 2012. We are delighted to announce Columbia 300 as our name sponsor for the event.
Headquartered in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, USA, Columbia 300 has been one of the most famous names in bowling balls since its early days in the 1960’s in San Antonio, Texas. Mike Quitter, Vice President, International for Columbia said, “We have observed the progress and growth of this famous bowling tournament for many years. We felt that the time was right for our company to work with the organizers to help to bring the Irish Open to the forefront of prestigious events in the roster of European Scratch Tournaments. The prize fund on offer this year is €17,500. Top prize for men is €3,500 with the ladies competing for a top prize of €1,200.
We look forward to welcoming all of our past players back to Leisureplex Stillorgan for another exciting weekend of competition in the most prestigious scratch Tenpin event in Ireland. We welcome all new players who will come to Dublin in 2012.
The first qualifying rounds commence on Thursday Evening, January 19th at 7:30 PM. The Grand Finals begin on Sunday morning and continue through the final match on Sunday evening.
