Birthdays are special all the time but there’s one taking place this week that could be even more so. Chris Barnes is in Indianapolis this week competing for a second U.S. Open crown and it just happens to also be his 40th birthday. Yes, 40 years ago today (Feb. 25, 2010) this 12-time PBA titlist and Columbia 300 pro staffer was born.
Chris started off the day by bowling 770 for his first three games which vaulted him up to second on the squad. Chris stated, “It’s day three here at the Open and it was time to make a move if I was going to be competitive this week. I’m glad it worked out and yes, it’s my birthday. Although I usually downplay it, you can see by the picture that people are making a bigger deal out of this one. It’s all in good fun of course!”
Tune in Sunday on ESPN to see if Mr. Barnes can turn a birthday into another incredible week!
