Ebonite International, Inc., is pleased to announce the addition of Tom Hayes to its management team, as Product Manager for non-ball consumer items.
Hayes’ years of experience in sourcing in textiles gives him a unique perspective in approaching relationships with overseas manufacturers. His responsibilities will include innovation, development and sourcing of products such as bowling bags and bowling accessories.
“The addition of Tom to our team will mean added support to the Brand Management staff in an area of decline in our industry,” said Bob Reid, VP of Marketing. “As our consumer market matures and there is more competition for products, Tom will play a crucial role in developing that portion of our product lines.”
Hayes previously worked with Gildan in a variety of sourcing and inventory management roles, most recently as Customer Business and Forecasting Manager, Interim Sourcing Manager. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, and is currently working toward his Master’s Degree from Samford University. While at Vanderbilt, he was a member of the Varsity Soccer team, and currently coaches youth soccer in Christian County, Kentucky. Hayes will work out of the Ebonite International corporate offices in Hopkinsville, Kent.
“I’m looking forward to working in the bowling industry, and I’m excited about the challenges this position presents to me,” said Hayes. “We have an opportunity to make an impact in bowling, and that’s going to be great fun.”
