A pair of Saginaw bowlers, Tom Smallwood and Dan MacLellend, are scheduled to compete in the 2011 World Series of Bowling later this year, after receiving exemptions from the PBA.
The PBA World Series will take place Nov. 4-20 at the South Point Bowling Center in Las Vegas.
Smallwood and MacLelland are two of 49 players to earn exemptions, due to their place on the 2010-11 PBA Tour points list. Smallwood ranked eighth on the points list, after finishing in the top 10 in four events, including a runner-up finish in the PBA Tournament of Champions.
MacLelland ranked 13th on the points list with four top 10 finishes, including a runner-up finish in the PBA Shark Championship.
