Bowling in the Appleton's Ladies league on December 1 at the beautiful and stylish Pinnacle Lanes in Clarksville, TN, Joshua & Noah's mom Jennifer Murphy shot 814 with an Arch Rival. Interesting enough young Jennifer, mother of 2 and wife of 1, left her bowling balls at home. After going all the way home to pick them up, she showed up in the second frame and got 6 spare. She then proceeded to throw the next 20! After weeks of not listening to her husband and his tales that the Arch Rival is the "sleeper" performance ball of the year, Jennifer finally gave in and put up the number. Jennifer was quoted as saying as she walked out the door, "Wow, what a bowling ball".

On November 16th at Royal Z lanes in Goose Creek, SC, I won the end of the year tournament for the traveling 8 game scratch tournaments. I was using my Momentum Swing drilled 4 7/16X 3 15/16 pin down. The pattern was the Kegel Beaten Path. Columbia continues to put great equipment on the market! This past weekend in Gloucester, VA I won my first PBA title using the Arch Rival. This is by far my favorite ball of recent years! In practice session I tried my Perfect Rival, drilled pin up 5 1/4 by 3 3/4, it was too angular off the spot. I then tried the Arch Rival, drilled pin down 4 1/2 by 4, it rolled clean in the front and smooth off the spot. Columbia has hit a real homerun with the Rival series, and I hope to add to my aresenal with more Rivals. I cannot thank Columbia enough for the great equipment!

Four weeks ago i wrote about my 802 i had with the 2nd Reaction Ricochet i own. I had another 800 in four weeks with the same ball. my games were 278, 246 Whiffed a ten in tenth, and 276 with the front 9. All i cared about was the 800 cause its easier to get 300 then 800 these days. It was my 5th sanctioned 800 (800,802,834,835,869) and yes they all really happened. This is the second time I've bowled a 300 on my first game with a Columbia Ball. The last time was 9-2-02 the ball of choice was a Columbia 300 ( RAGE )

On Monday October 20th at Slocum's Bowling Center in Ewing, NJ using a 16lb Columbia Jinx I started the night with back to back 300 games and the first 28 strikes. I ended the night with an 848 series missing the house record by 1 pin. This is the first time in the almost 70 year history of this center that back to back 300 games were shot. On September 22nd of 2007 (my sister-in-law's birthday), I bowled a 572 series shooting a 279 and a 293 in my Saturday Special Olympics bowling league @ Napa Bowl here in Napa, I had 22 out of 24 strikes in the 2 games I bowled that with my Brunswick ball. I was surprised I was getting strike after strike until I left the 9 pin in the 9th frame and striked out and finished with a 279 and blowing it on the last ball when I shot my 293 game when I bowled 3 on the last ball, I was ticked, I missed the perfect game of 300 game by 7 pins but, I was happy that I got close to a 300 game. I have 2 289 games and 2 290 games (290 and 293) and 1 285 game (I missed the washout, 7,4,6,10 split) in my career and I have 30 career 200 games in my career and I'm greatful to be in a family of bowlers, I'm the 3rd generation bowler in the family, my dad was a bowler in his family and so was my grandparents on my dad's side and now my 8 yr. old nephew is now the 4th generation to join the family of bowlers, like me (his uncle) and his grandfather (his dad's dad) and his great-grandparents. Thanks for making bowling a fun sport for whoever.

I have been fortunate to bowl with Columbia equipment. I have bowled 58-300 games, the last 36 with Columbia equipment, and 28-800 series, the last 18 with Columbia equipment. I haven't had any award scores with any other equipment since June 20, 1996. And I am 56 years old, having my last 300 on 10-2-08 with a BIG SHOT, and other before that on 8-4-08 with a RIVAL. I look foward to continuing success with all the newer equipment.

well i got the dead flush for the HS state finals and it paid off in a big way. i shot and 11 in a row 279 during the second set and we took 4th. then, in my summer league i shot a 300 with my newly purchased arch rival. IMO its the best ball on the market now for THS. gets down the lane and gets the classic 40-45ft read and movement off the dry. GREAT BALLS!!!!!!

On 2/17/08 I bowled my third 300 game with an action Max by Columbia. On certain oil patterns (medium ones) this ball gives me plenty of room and i can just open the lanes up. Looking for a ball with more back end movement, thinking about the Momentum or the momentum swing. Columbia has always made excellent products.

my first 2- 300s came with a brand new pearl pulse. went to the pro shop to buy a pulse like my fathers. got the pearl and it rolled nothing like i wanted it to. i was a little disappointed with the roll i expected alot more violent hook at the end. sounds like im bashing the ball. but now the good part. i wanted a bigger hook and instead i got bigger scores. within the first two months with this ball i had two chances at back to back 3s. i choked twice on the 24th ball. also these were my first 2 300s. i have 9 total and 6 came with this ball.
