SAVAGE LIFE

Overview

At Columbia 300, we like to live on the wild side. Bright colors on balls that hook off the lane and cause devastation to the pins. This one is no different. Live the Savage Life and watch your ball boomerang on the backend on medium to heavy oil conditions.

Savage Core - The Savage core is a low RG, high diff core with a high mass bias. If you're looking for a new pearl ball with a ton of engine, the Savage Life is for you.

Exciter Pearl - Exciter Solid was extremely successful on the Savage and made a lot of our touring professionals' arsenals. The new Savage Life, with its Exciter Pearl cover, finished at 500/1000 Abralon and Factory Finish Polish will be the perfect step down from its predecessor and gives you a Savage 1-2 punch.

Columbia 300 recommends Powerhouse Energizer Ball Cleaner to keep the Savage Life performing at its best.

For All the Wrong Reasons

Been bowling with a Black Widow for 15 years. Decided to check out some new equipment and noticed the Savage and Savage Life. Well, my last name is Savage and I pulled the trigger solely based on the product name and not what my needs are. The Pro who drilled it said the hand pattern is shorter now than back then, and he’s right. A little more comfortable and lends itself better to a newbie, or like myself - a retired senior. I stepped down from 16 Lbs to 15.5 Lbs. Yes, that actually made a difference. The lanes out here are a tad dryer than where I’m from, so that was a problem. This is a pretty strong ball (grabs and hooks harder than most). IMHO, any competent bowler can adjust to various conditions. Even with the aggressive cover stock , I can pick up my friend; the ten pin. I started throwing a straight ball many decades ago, and even with a fingertip, I can throw without a hook.
So, my 2-cents on this ball is be careful HOW you choose. If your lanes are at least medium oil of heavier, this ball will have nice snap further down the lane. Otherwise it will roll out too early and you’ll have a problem with crossover hits. In that case you’ll have to make adjustments and send it way out and play with how much lift to give it. In worst scenario, I threw (12 mph) from 40 between arrows 2-3 (normally a gutter to the right) it came back SO HARD I missed all the pins and guttered to the left. Yeah, very dry lanes, BUT that’s how strong this ball is.

Ball goes long!

If you're looking for a big performance ball that gets down lane this one is definitely for you.

Wow

The Savage Life is a ball that really surprised me. When I first threw it the ball really reminded me of a upgraded version of the Tyrant Pearl. I can really see this ball rev up in the mid lane and it stores up its energy for the back part of the lane. It does a really good job of slapping the corners out for me. Columbia really has a winner with this one and I think everybody should have this as their asym pearl ball in their bag.

Definitely a must have.

Very smooth through the middle part of the lanes and a strong continuous backed reaction. Keeps the pins low and loves to strike.

Smooth Big Pearl

One the smoothest and cleanest heavy hooking pearl balls I have ever thrown! If you are looking for a ball that is smooth in the middle of the lane and has a defined motion off the spot down lane and drives thru the pins this is the ball for you!
