CUDA POWERCOR

Overview

Columbia 300 has produced some of the most memorable bowling balls in the history of the sport, the Cuda name and technology are towards the top of that list. The features of the original Cuda were ahead of their time; the new Cuda PowerCOR uses an updated version of the Cuda core for today’s environment. The PowerCOR is a dense but drillable inner piece of the core, eliminating drilling restrictions. A dense flip block is added to the core body that moves mass away from the center of the ball, creating more differential and imbalance. The Cuda PowerCOR cover is ERT Solid, most recently found on the successful Power Torq – providing confidence and extreme performance on medium to heavy oil patterns. With this release, Columbia 300 builds on the successful, strong symmetric performance balls that are so important in any bowler’s bag.

1st game killer

This ball has been a difference maker for me on heavy oil. I'm an average speed 16 mph, average rev 400, bowler with low axis. I cross a lot of boards when I bowl. My muscle memory is my biggest Achilles heel when I have to move right, because I end up going outside of 5. The cuda powercor allows me to start left and only move my eyes when the lanes break down. It swims through the oil revving up at the right time and doesn't waste energy. This is my first non storm ball and I'm extremely pleased with what I'm seeing. So much so, that I haven't even drilled my Night Road because I'm SERIOUSLY considering getting a Messenger Powercor to pair with it.

Cuda!

Cuda is a very strong ball, I drilled pin up and was able to play deep inside. Ball for me was clean though pin deck. Ball very good in heavy oil with 2000 true cut pad.

Columbia 300 – Cuda PowerCor

Columbia 300 has had other successful remakes such as the Power Torq and the Messengers and the Cuda is no exception.

The insides feature an updated version of the original Cuda’s core that has a dense flip block and because of this density, moves the mass away from the center creating a larger differential and imbalance. The cover is a ERT solid in a burgundy/black color scheme that comes from the factory @ 1500 Siaair Micro Pad. The added value for this Cuda, is the versatility of adjusting the cover to suit your needs. I have used both the box finish as well as polished and have not seen any loss of effectiveness.

In my arsenal the Cuda is similar to the Power Torq but with a little stronger backend reaction and seems to adjust well to slightly heavier the medium oil patterns. It will fit well on those longer house patterns.

Swimming with the big fish!

The Cuda PowerCOR is that bigger symmetric solid when you need more pop in the heavy stuff, or if you are speed dominant and want more motion. The PowerCOR has a dense inner core piece that is drillable and helps remove any drilling restrictions. The Cuda also features a dense flip block to move mass outside of the middle of the ball which results in a higher differential and more imbalance. This means more backend motion and hitting power through the pins.

I drilled mine (50) x 3.75" x 40 to help maximize flare while keeping a smoother backend motion. The cover of the Cuda is very versatile. I used it at 1500 for Thailand 39' sport shot and bowled 246 out of the gate, sanded it to 500 for a heavy volume 48 ft. custom FDDS sport pattern, and bowled well cutting down on my angles. Then, I polished it for the THS and it gave me extra length, quicker transitions, big hit through the pins, giving me four messenger strikes on my way to a three game set of 731. The proof is in the pudding, get yourself a Cuda PowerCOR and start swimming with the big fish today!
