ERUPTION PEARL

Overview

Throwback names have done well for Columbia 300, and this new Eruption Pearl isn’t just a throwback name. The Eruption Pearl is an extension of the successful Resurgence core, and that has been found in so many great Columbia 300 balls. The Eruption Pearl has a lot of mid-lane and overall hook for a symmetric pearl ball and will be a useful motion for any bowler style. Just as the original Eruption letter stated, this is an outrageous amount of performance in a mid-price ball.

Erupting with Strikes

The C300 Eruption Pearl is nice and clean through the front with a stronger overall ball motion. I see this one in use for when the heads get a bit choppy and/or playing up the lane on a fresh blended house shot with nice recovery. This ball doesn't have a strong flippy motion but a nice sweeping motion. I was able to give this one a bit more room to the dry without over-hooking concern.

Columbia 300 – Eruption Pearl

Although a bit late, I felt that I needed to give this ball some time to be sure my eyes were not playing tricks on me. By that I mean, The Eruption Pearl is the first ball in sometime that I has performed so well right out of the box. For the first 3 weeks in league I was nearly +350 and was just amazed.

The Eruption Pearl gave me that mid-lane read that I had grown accustomed to in my early days but with just a little more kick. No doubt the REFLEX cover assisted by the outstanding symmetric RESURGENCE core put this ball squarely in the middle of my bag. The 65 x 4.75 x 35 layout provided a smooth and continuous look with that little extra move in the back.

Coming in a very nice dark blue/ purple color and already having a compound box finish, there was nothing else I needed to do but put holes in it and score. It is definitely a benchmark ball that will fit anyone’s game on any variety of typical house shot conditions.

Don’t let this one get away for sure. Blast your opponents off the lanes with the new Eruption Pearl

My new favorite C300 ball!

I am a rev-dominant player with around 400rpm and 17mph ball speed. For me, the Eruption Pearl is a step down from the Dynamic Swing Pearl when that ball is too over/under. I also still have and use the Chaos Black and Spoiler. The Eruption Pearl is a little stronger than both of these balls for me and works great in almost all the houses I bowl in. Just a couple weeks after getting this ball I bowled a 791 series. A 4-pin first ball in the 10th of last game cost me the 800. I would recommend this as a stronger symmetrical ball than the Chaos Black and Spoiler and a step down from the Dynamic Swing Pearl. It has become the first ball out of my bag at most houses I bowl in!

Eruption Pearl

This ball is a relatively mello ball for a pearl. It likes to roll straight, but still has some energy down lane to kick the corners. Definitely a step under the Power Torq to compare it to the rest of the Columbia products!

Eruption!

This ball filled a spot in my bags that I've been searching for! The eruption pearl is so clean through the heads but has that nice back end that you can count on every shot. It allows me to play the lanes much straighter to start but it also still has that nice pop on the back end as you have to creep inside. If you have a Power Torq in your bag (also a MUST have), I believe this to be a good go to coming off of using that ball!
